LFTF was started in 2008 with the simple vision of having a communal place to rave about the music they love. Since then, nothing's changed. The online magazine/blog highlights wide array of contemporary urban influenced music ranging from Southern Rap to Neo Soul to UK-bass music.

Headlining the Pioneers of Rhythm showcase is Ann Arbor beat maestro Dabrye, who will be flexing his J Dilla-esc skills, seamlessly blending swing out hip hop with EDM sound design. Supporting the bill we have four rising producers, all blurring the lines between hip hop, soul and underground dance music, Samo Sound Boy, Katie Kate, Keyboard Kid and Kid Smpl.
