Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

The 2012 Decibel Festival along with Uniting Souls present:

:: Future Funk H2O ::

This year Decibel Festival will be expanding our infamous boat party series from two to four days. In addition, this year's boat parties will offer a wider variety of musical styles including house, techno, grime, soul, funk and hip hop. These feel-good afternoon cruises on scenic Lake Washington and Lake Union are the perfect compliment to the Decibel Festival club experience. If you're looking for an intimate, aquatic setting in which to socialize, dance and soak up the beautiful September Seattle weather, look no further than the 2012 Decibel Festival Boat Parties!

For our third boat party, we're pleased to be presenting alongside the Seattle-based house collective Uniting Souls, who we've been co-producing the dB boat parties with going back to 2008 when they first began.

Headlining the Future Funk H20 showcase is Swiss producer/deejay Ripperton, who will be making his Northwest debut. Support includes Hypercolour recording artist J. Alvarez, LawnChair General Doza and Unitiing Souls' resident deejays, Ramiro, Jeromy Nail and Deepvibez.

Hypercolour
To sit at a table set with the sounds of 214 (aka J. Alvarez) is to be served Hungry-man portions of honey-buttered electro beats, side dishes of synth-line treats, and dollops of IDM-get-down.Like most musicians, Chris Roman’s path is rooted in a veritable melting pot of sounds. Some of the influences are obvious. Others not so much so.   His Puerto Rican birthright and Miami upbringing ring apparent when he’s pumping out... Read More →

Uniting Souls
In the early 90s, during his college years in San Francisco, Ramiro converged on the electronic music phenomenon that was exploding in the Bay Area. From the Wicked Full-Moons, to Freedom & The Gathering, Come-Unity, Zendada, Stompy Stomp, Kundalini, and the legendary Sunset outdoor parties, Ramiro drew inspiration. In 1995, with the help of friends, Ramiro began producing his own events, promoting community among an emerging group of artists... Read More →
