Global Selektors 1 will feature three artists who have been bridging the gap between UK underground bass music, disco and house. Over the past three years, Brooklyn's FaltyDL has managed to release on several of the UK's most influential labels, including Ninja Tune and Planet Mu. Impossible to categorize, Falty's output ranges from 2-step, to juke, to deep house, to grime and all points in-between.
Originally known as co-founder and producer for the influential Skull Disco imprint, in recent years Appleblim has been exploring the soulful sounds of deep house and disco both as a deejay and producer. For the past two years Slow Hands has been one of the main proponents of the slow-mo and sultry house revolution. Drawing from blues, jazz and trippy electronic music, his productions and deejaying spans decades of musical influence.
