Pop, hip hop and electronic music have gradually been letting their guard down, playfully flirting towards something new. Though their pop sensibilities remain, it's clear that technology and influence refuse to be denied. The Chicago duo Houses engineer beautifully textural pop tunes, steeped in thoughtful patience lyrics that float above warm synth tones and that come "from a place of love and ease". The Italian A/V quartet port-royal will be making their first trek to North America to perform at this year's Decibel Festival. They play a dreamy, heady, melancholic, wide-deep music on the border among electronica, ambient, shoegaze, minimal techno featuring several dance elements. K.flay is a deeply talented female MC and multi-instrumentalist whose diverse influences range from indie pop to old school hip hop. Her talents have led her to share the stage with a diverse selection of luminaries, including Passion Pit, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, and 3OH!3.
