2012 Decibel Festival

For this year's Starborne showcase, three bona-fide bass cadets will be flexing their own signature sounds ranging from trap to dubstep to glitch. After playing to massive audiences at some of the largest festivals in North America, you can expected a spirited MiMOSA set surfing the sound waves between trap and dubstep. Dave Tipper is no stranger to Decibel. After delivering the most memorable set of our inaugural 2004 program, he went on to headline our 2005 NYE party and closing night zat our 2006 festival. A consummate professional and DMC worthy turntablist, Tipper never ceases to bring the heat.
Igniting the party will be bass scientist and college music professor Paul "Starkey" Geissinger, who's futurist compositions have landed him dozens of releases and remixes on some of the world's most respected labels (Warp, Planet Mu, Ninja Tune, Mad Decent and Ed Banger).
