2012 Decibel Festival

This year Decibel will be paying homage to the deejay through a series of showcases highlighting some of the finest house and techno jocks on the planet. Delicacy is not necessarily an adjective you'd attach to Robag Wruhme if you saw him behind the decks. Either solo or in tandem with Sören Bodner as the now defunct Wighnomy Brothers, Wruhme has gained a reputation for his boisterous, hard-drinking DJ sets. Zak aka DVS1 (devious one), is one of the most prominent figures in the US dance music landscape today. A Midwest local DJ favorite since the mid nineties, DVS1 continues to move floors with a combination of deep musical knowledge, unparalleled enthusiasm, and a vinyl collection of more than 10,000 records. Peter Van Hoesen has been active as electronic musician and audiovisual artist since 1998. His work involves live music performances, deejaying, sound design and compositions for installations and contemporary dance and theatre performances.
